A Tree Waiting To Be was part three in a three part series of commercials commissioned by Acorns Grow, Inc to help home in on the company voice. Constructed to look and feel more like a classic banking or investment commercial, A Tree Waiting To Be focused on financial health and understanding investments in an inspirational forest setting. Using the “acorn” metaphor ingrained in the company’s philosophy, we strove to convey that just as an acorn takes many years to grow into a mighty oak, small investments will also grow your financial portfolio overtime.

Shot and finished over the course of a three weeks, we traveled to several locations for filming, including Newport Beach, Downtown Los Angeles, General Sherman in Yosemite National Park, Santa Barbara, Redwood National Forest, and McCall, Idaho. We turned in several 30 second versions, and used screen replacement and golden hour shooting for spectacular finished products.
