Escape the Labyrinth
The Daedalus Sentence
As part of the Kickstarter campaign for Eagle-Gryphon Games' Daedalus Sentence, Infinite Sum produced this short gameplay teaser to better describe the mechanics of play for potential backers. At the time, a prototype for the game did not exist, so Infinite Sum used conceptual assets to assemble an engaging tutorial video for prospective backers. The Kickstarter raised $72,850 from 709 backers over a period of two and a half weeks. It also got a "Project We Love" tag from the KS team!
The Deadalus Sentence lands you in a horrific space prison where you must escape a monster filled labyrinth or suffer the consequences. Evade the guards as you make your way past the randomly revolving rings of the space station!
The Daedalus Sentence, designed by the Belgian team of Tom Bleys, Ian Van Gemeren and Bart Waeterschoot, is a cooperative science fiction escape game that challenges the players to use limited actions and effective communication in order to flee from their alien captors and escape a dangerous and ever-changing satellite prison. Players must explore their surroundings, overcome guards, and change the layout of the prison itself - while being careful that the moves they make don't inadvertently doom a teammate! To win the game, all players must collectively escape the Hive Prison by breaking out of each ring and reaching the escape pod without being captured by the alien guards. Each character has special abilities to help the team survive and escape.
The Daedalus Sentence supports 1 to 4 players and takes an 60 to 90 minutes to play. The game also includes a one-against-all scenario for 5 players that puts one player in charge of the Hive Prison.
